1)Maybe Daisy didn't want to get with tom instead she wanted to be with Gatsby but thats indirect, wouldn't count on that being right , just a thought. 2) I feel like Daisy does not have the same feelings for Gatsby, if she did you would think that she would at least have remembered his name.
